Today, I’m excited to bring this gorgeous Santa Rosa Plateau maternity session to the blog. Emily is one of the sweetest and most sincere people you will ever meet. I can’t even wait to see how great of a mom she will be! When Emily contacted me to set up her maternity session she already knew exactly where she wanted to do them. The Santa Rosa Plateau is an amazing natural park located in Southern California. I have shot here a few times, but every time you come here there is always more to discover. I love how the park offers so many diverse areas to shoot in. The park features everything from large open fields to huge gorgeous trees. They also have vernal pools that fill up seasonally. Last time Emily had been the preserve, the pools had been full so she really wanted to go out there and do some portraits by them. We walked all the way out to where the vernal pools are, but it had already dried up! That’s California for you. Lucky we were still able to get some great shots out in that area. Since the pools ended up being less than we expected, we started to head back and shot on the way. We captured my favorite photos from this session when we reached this massive tree that had large branches practically sitting on the ground. I just love the way that Emily would lovingly look down at her growing belly and smile. Enjoy!
These two are just too cute together!!
Emily brought the cutest props to incorporate into her session.
This tree is amazing! Its just so stunning and made the perfect spot for these sweet portraits.
